I know some of you mentioned trying to fit the Target tracks into the standard tracklist instead of using them at the end. I understand the motivation because Gon Be Alright is the perfect album closer, but it just didn't work for me. I think the short Promise works so well for the main album and LU4L has a few places it kind of fits, but nowhere that it works really well. I think GBA is the perfect album closer, but the slow burn of Promise for You, LU4L, and the solo version of No Sleeep works really nicely too. This album is very cinematic and I kind of like the bombastic ending followed by a quiet storm of an epilogue for the credits.
Plus if by the odd chance this is her farewell album, which in a way it feels like, but I honestly doubt it. I do think Janet prefers a quiet life outside of the spotlight, but I think sometime down the line the artistic bug will strike her again. This might be her last album for another 10 years, but I don't think this is the last we'll hear from her. But on the off chance it is, No Sleeep feels more quintessential Janet to me than GBA so it feels right to have it as the final song chronologically in her discography.

This was so beautiful and depressing at the same time
Looking at it now I can reinterpret the lyrics of No Sleeep to be about Janet's relationship with her fans
I honestly hate After You Fall. This is some wrist-slashing ****, completely contrary to everything else in her discography. There is no hopeful message, just a dead-end. What a comedown.

I AM stunned, shocked at how many people think JANET would have opened with below 50k ..... Do they know even her greatest hits released in 2010 sold over 300k cumulatively . How many greatest hits this decade can boast of that ?? like JANET said they must have forgotten .....
Overall the album is a bit disappointing compared to her older stuff. The best songs I'd say are really good are :
Broken Hearts Heal 10/10
Dream Maker 9.5/10 (10 if not for Euphoria)
Damm Baby 9/10
No Sleeep 8/10
Night 7/10
I think she should have cut down the length because some tracks are absolutely horrid. After You Fall & 2 B loved are so ****ing disappointing. And the end of Dream Maker is ruined by Euphoria. A Miley tea really, it sounds like it was recorded in a basement... but maybe that was the point.
