Rihanna is catching up there is no way Paul McCartney should be #1 if that's the case then I guess old people are the only ones buying cds no wonder why rap sales have been a little low

yes - if linkin park( a rock band - not even ahip hop or r&b which) could sell 600K, then a real r&b why can't sell?

Rihanna CD is GREAT, but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if T-Pain passed her for the #2 spot. Like many people said, Rihanna never sells that many albums. I don't think she will be #1 though. It looks like Paul McCartney will take the #1 spot.

what?
LP hasn't had great success with singles, but rihanna has(Unfaithful, SOS, Break it off, Umbrella)
and Rihanna is r&B which is more likeable in the States than rock...

Um, LP hasn't had great success with singles? Do "In The End", "Numb", "Numb/Encore", "Breaking The Habit" and "What I've Done" ring a bell?
Get your facts straight, boy-ee, before you start spouting off.

I know some facts, but LP wasn't successful with their singles on the US charts, just on rock charts

Um...
Top 20 Singles:
"In The End"(#2)
"Numb"(#11)
"Breaking The Habit"(#20)
"Numb/Encore"(#20, not bad for a mash-up, i'd say)
"What I've Done"(#7)
Sure, Rihanna has had more top 10 hits, but Rihanna and LP have the same amount of top 20 hits.
Just stop it already. You're talking to someone who reads way more charts and peak positions than should be allowed by the state. I think I know my chart ****.

Well, Linkin Park hadn't released an album since 2003. That huge gap in between studio albums usually means huge first-week sales. Rihanna barely put out an album last year, I believe.
Yeah. Pretty much what Ryan said. "Numb", "In the End", "What I've Done", etc. = huge rock singles, "In the End" peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

please god rihanna should sell more her album is great it's what she deserves!?! maybe she can pass Paul because the difference between two of them is almost 15.000 and if she increases with almost %10 like 40.000 copies she'll probably pass
