Pedro Pascal for Oberyn and Indira Verma for Illyria were two of the BEST casting decisions the show has made in its entire run!!!

and Indira certainly delivered with what she was dealt.. so even though her part in the books following this sequence isnt that integral as she just disappears in the events happening in Dorne. i think the showrunners will keep her around when they move the story to Dorne and have to deal with Doran, Arianne and the Sandsnakes!

i can totally picture her slaying with the sandsnakes!

since she isnt a Martell. Only reason Doran is asked to join the council, and Oberyn and Tyene have been able to replace him is because they want to include Dorne into the realm and only a Martell can do that. Illyria was just oberyn's lover, a bastard.. she has no power in the game of thrones.
Depending on how many charachters from Dorne the show intends to introduce.. Doran will HAVE to be there.. Arianne has to be if they intend on staying true to GRRM's storyline as she has a pivotal part to play later..
they COULD reduce the sandsnakes, but that would take away from the charm of the trinity of sandsnakes as presented in the books with their different personalities.
If anything they could remove Areo Hotah and one of the sandsnakes between Tyene and Nymeria and replace her with Illyria. that way she could become Doran's personal advisor and helper, replacing Areo.. and could go to king's landing along with Nym/Tyene NOT to be a part of the council but to do what Nymeria goes there to do.

yeah, she is supposed to be learning from LF how to play the game and instead she outplays him in one episode...but on the bright side the last scene with her was awesome... she was going down those stairs like

How is she in charge of the Eyrie when Petyr is Lord Regent of the entire Vale since the person in charge of the Eyrie automatically becomes overlord of the Vale. That'd mean Petyr gave Sansa de facto power or she actually has a legitimate claim on the title as lady of the Eyrie cuz she's Lysa's only remaining family.

My bet is on Little finger for the Iron Throne in the end. He is just so damn smart. And knows how to play everyone and everything.

This season has been MAGNIFICENT. My only complaint is that they haven't really shown the dragons.

Agreed about Littlefinger, love him. He is a VERY big player.

I think we might end up with Bran ruling at the very end though. I just feel he is destined for huge things. And justice for the Starks who were essentially decimated throughout seasons 1-3.

Wouldn't surprise me if Dany took the throne like some kind of tyrant when sweeping into Westeros, and then Bran like used his warg abilities to manipulate her dragons and take her out. Completely random theory though

The reason they don't show the dragons much is because the CGI costs inconceivably huge amounts.

although I have my doubts about Aegon. I want him to be real. But the prophecy of undying has me doubting But we'll see in TWOW.

And I love Tyrion but unless he's secretly a Targaryen which is doubtful and unrealistic, he is never, ever, EVER getting his own dragon.

Just caught up on the last episode. That was awesome!! Had a lot of key moments & ending was just brutal.

Sansa... FINALLY!!!!! She's no longer this child, she is growing into her own!

I think after this season ends, I'm finally going to cave and read the books. I wanted to awhile ago but the tv series has been so wonderful, I've loved being captivated by it.
