Not really, Katy is one of the most promoted artists right now. She had more promotion this era than many artists would wish to have in their careers. Capitol is one of the best the best labels out there imo. Even when they have messed up so many things recently
I understand TOTGA tbh, she must have been having marriage problems at that time and the last thing she'd want to do is perform on a stage and promote a song.

Atleast we got two TOTGA performances, an maybe a third one at the brits, I also understand she was having marital problems, and she had to focus on that instead of heavy promo after the AMAs. If you watch when the dancers lift her up during "now look at me, I'm sparkling", they hand it to her. I think it was suppose to go off but doesn't and Katy tosses it.
