October 2012: 10,566,212 x
May 2013: 10,587,107 x
Over 21K sold in just 7 months and during her break too. ![deadbanana](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/bananas/deadbanana2_zpsd45da7d4.gif) BOMT's catalog sales are very impressive considering bubblegum pop albums are notoriously bad catalog sellers.

Hmmm, according to Billboard, she was at 31.6 million in January 2011 [ x]. And then we have them confirming 33 million a year and 5 months later in May 2012 [ x]
That's 1.4 million albums sold in the said period. Take out the 750K FF had sold at the time and 20K from B In The Mix 2 = 630K catalog sales in less than a year and a half. Not bad at all.

WTF, if Baby can sell 21K in the span of 7 months like 12 years after release, certainly Britney Jean can manage to sell enough to reach 300K since the last update (when was it?), right? Like

So we have...
800K for Femme Fatale
265K for Britney Jean
630K for catalog sales between January 2011 and May 2012
40K for B In The Mix 2
70K for Playlist: The Very Best Of Britney Spears
20K for the other two compilation albums
= 1.82 million albums sold in the U.S. from 2011 to 2014. With missing catalog sales for 2010, the rest of 2012, 2013 and 2014, she's definitely around 2 million.

911? Anticipating stole my ****
*Over 2M.
If BOMT did 27k from October 2012 to May 2013, she definitely sold over 153k with her other catalog sales from 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

When you think about it, ff was the only album that was promoted a bit. BJ wasn't promoted and hated. One is not a studio album and others are catalog sales. Those sales are ok, not tragic. Selling over 4 albums in 3 years is what most pop girls wish for.

It's actually more tragic to see FF at 1.8 million than BJ at 0.65M.
One had 4 singles, radio support, video support, a world tour, one award show performance, a VMA tribute, an MTV documentary, its tour aired on TV in many countries WW until now, 3 top 10 hits, tons of interviews in Europe, a vegas surprise performance, GMA and Jimmy Kimmel Live skits and performances (that aired in March and one in May), plus 3-4 magazine covers.
The other one got a lead single and A Perfume, a Chatty Man interview, a magazine cover and a vegas show. Plus really bad press for the singing on the album.
Yet it sold around 650k.
When people diss Britney Jean and compare it to Femme Fatale they tend to think FF went diamond or something.
IMO Britney Jean sales are impressive for what she promoted and what we got in terms of music and singles.

![ahh](images/smilies/images/smilies/ahh.gif) FF still sold way more singles than BJ. S&M performance at BBMAs promoted Rihanna album, not Britney's. She didn't perform at vmas. If you count that as a promo for ff, then uou have to count people choice awards as a promo for BJ too. Britney started to tour when the era died already. Britney sold more singles than albums now. Selling 1.8M album, 10M singles and 200k DVD in 2011 is not tragic at all for someone who's been in the business more than a decade.
Whatever you think, BJ numbers are tragic. Even the singles flopped.

I know it did sell more singles, but FF albums sales are bad. BBMA also had a TTWE performance and it got seen by 8-10 million people that night. She had commercials featuring I Wanna Go for the VMAs and had a VMA tribute.
And the decrease in sales between Circus and FF was larger than the one on Brinty Joan.
What I mean is, she sold 650k by doing 10% of what she did for FF. BJ singles flopped but album sales, considering the little she did are actually ok. Many albums with long eras and many singles from other singers have sold less or the same as BJ.
