Sis, this is another scenerio, back then Ballads were flopping hard on the radio, CKB did so well compared to the others, right now ballads have more success in the radio and digtially, so im sure stay will perform better plus it's a better song.

RiRi is changing, we shouldn't expect her to follow her same formula that she has in the past. This album will bring many different things. I think STAY or Right Now...but if Stay won't become a single, she needs to keep making it a promo single. Like at X Factor this weekend. That will sell the album more in my opinion.. she may can even add more vocals or something to make it more lively!
