She's releasing in 2016. Album isn't even halfway done and she's taking it slooow. Label is starting to be passive aggressive as they promised investors they'd have a new Adele album last year...and now it will likely not come this year either. Its a mess but she don't give a ****. Don't ask me how I know.

Oh and Sia is already prepping another album for release, whereas Hozier is on another sold out tour run in less than 6 months.. To the same cities. I've seen him twice in that same time frame js

It's not her fault the labels need her to perk up (or save) their bottom line...maybe they should stop releasing crap or the same sounding crap lol

Now it's confirmed that Adele will not perform at the Glastonbury Festival:
[Festival organiser Emily Eavis] She said: "That's not true. That's the only denial I will do. I would love Adele. To have Adele would be a complete dream, but she's not going to be here this year."

No offence, but I honestly hope you don't know **** about it. However, if you're right, then Adele deserves the biggest BYE ever.
BYE, ADELE! ENJOY YOUR FLOP CAREER!

All due respect, but why should we believe you? Do you know how many times we've been let down with false information regarding her releases? And several pieces of information came from forum users. Another ATRL user told us she was releasing in December of 2014, and then a user on Adele's official forum who claims to be a music industry insider hinted to us that something big would be happening at the Grammys/Oscars regarding Adele. I mean... We need to have a reason to believe you, and we don't know if you have any credibility. I'm sorry, it's not you, but we can't be let down again.

I'm not exactly sure how we over hype a song, but TMTC has a mind of its own so to speak... It will have a longer "life" than chandelier... If only because it will be covered more times than Chandelier and has more commercial use imo. I love both

Maddie was part of it there is no doubt but that is not to take away from Chanedelier Also Chandelier is not really a great song to cover though so saying that shouldn't be put against it imo. I'm okay with TMTC just like Chandelier better

Do we have any reason to believe online sources as well though At this point we should honestly stop trying to find a needle in a haystack where the needle isn't even there. Unless its some credible individual who says something there is nothing to expect anymore and even then when someone talks about it, it means nothing because its up to Adele when the album will come out

I'm just speaking to longevity. I think a song that's more commercial or cover friendly has a longer shelf life than others. ( in some cases) Not taking anything away from Chandelier, cause I don't have to suffer thru crap covers lol

But it is her fault that she isn't doing anything for herself that helps them. Honestly, I think the quality of other music could improve drastically as soon as she releases. Not only would we see artists following in her footsteps to be better in order to compete as we did in 2011-2012, but releasing an album wouldn't be such a crapshoot for them; basically, the media goes "oh cool we like these songs of yours....but where's Adele again?". Why should they waste time making great songs when everybody still wants to hear someone else?
It's awesome for her that she's the top of the entire music industry when she clearly couldn't give less of a **** about her fans, the success of her label, or releasing music in general. Really, great. And that she's still going to continue to stay in that position and abuse the power it provides—a mic that for any other artist would've been on much too long with nobody there—without giving back to her audience that got her there just because the world believes no one can touch her (at the moment, at least) vocally makes it all the more pleasant. Maybe she ought to stop being so selfish and stop relying on silent excuses that wore out years ago. Oh, your voice was messed up? Well so were Christina Perri's and Florence's, and they've both come back. Oh, you had a baby? Well so did Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson, and they've both come back. Oh, you have no ideas for music? Well, Rihanna hasn't had a idea in her entire career, and I think she's doing just fine.
Release an album to show why she still deserves that top spot, or the very least release complete crap so the world can just move on already. She's really begun to turn many off as a person, the very least she could do is to give them material to decide what to feel about her as a musician.
Edit 2/3/16: Dear self of almost a year ago,
Dude, cool your **** and stop spewing haterade you don't even mean because you're tired of waiting. Mad as you are, you still love Adele—as a musician AND person. The break will be explained and it'll all work itself out with this album (yes it's called 25) before the end of this year and blow your mind.

And, tbh, how is it less than halfway done when we know she did 3 tracks with Diane Warren and at least 3 with Ryan Tedder, among others? Are we to assume she's just trashing random stuff now?

I appreciate your points, but there are other singers/bands that are top notch quality acts who havent released albums in much longer time spans, who have fallen off the grid but the media and fans keep relevant. Adele never imagined, nor did the world, what an impact she would have on the music world. So to me, for the implication that she's doing things her way is an intentional slap in the face to her fans isn't quite a fair argument. For me to get through this wait, I've tried to imagine the tremendous amount of pressure she must be feeling. The perceived damage she's doing to her career during this time is far less risky than rushing an album and it sucks. Yeah, she's pissing off a crap ton of people right now, but out of 30 million 21 owners, that number is a drop in the bucket. I wonder what number the media is gonna put on her album that will make it a flop compared to 21? 20 mil, 10 mil, 5 mil? We know she won't match those numbers and we are okay with it, but will the public? We see things in a different light than that of the majority of the general fans. We are invested. They invested their $20 or so dollars and have an album that gave them well worth more than they paid for it. They will take the risk to do that again. We can be pissed off, and she knows it's a risk to lose us, but we're still here. We may leave, say 2-3 million of us, but half of us will still buy the album. The only power she has is the power we give her. The only way to maybe get her to see that is to not buy the album.
I'm not trying to argue. I just think that music as a whole is a powerful thing. She put out a powerful album...musically, monetarily, award winning, etc...as much as we hate what she's doing now...there isn't a darn thing we can do about it...lol. And what could she say or do at this point that would make those angry with her not be angry? And we as devoted fans, Aren't really out there telling people not to buy the new album... We just keep hyping it up, so how mad are we? Lol
Hopefully she's writing a song that will allow us to get this frustration out lol
Don't get me wrong, there is some great music out there. I was really just kind of being sarcastic regarding yet another rumor.

Next year, I'll have spent about a quarter of my life waiting for this album. And I know that isn't the case for most of you (most people in this base are older than me), and nobody really cares, and if you do it just sounds really pathetic, but it's true. And trust me, waiting for something for a quarter of your life, a time that seems to only continue to lengthen, is really enough to drive you crazy. I almost can't remember a time anymore that I was listening to music and not waiting for Adele to release her third album. Adele is music, to me.
Time doesn’t guarantee quality. Personally, with the time she’s taken, I think she’s almost reached the point of equal risk. If she released a crap album in 2013, the impact would’ve been a heck of a lot less. But if releases a crap album tomorrow, she loses the public who had no strong investment, and us because we’ll be pissed that she made us wait four years for nothing (unless we stay just because of that). She releases a great album in 5+ more years, she’s long lost the public because their small investment in her certainly didn’t last that time, and most of us will be gone because we’d have become tired of being disappointed and lead along, trying to keep the hope alive for as long as we could take.
Being a fan of your favorite musician isn't supposed to make you feel like s•. And it didn’t, watching her come out of nowhere in 2011 with 21, or making the world fall in love with her with her hilarious interviews and banter, or telling stories in her blogs, or releasing Skyfall, or winning just about every award in the books. And maybe the fact that it does now just means I'm the selfish one and all of this means too much to me. But being a fan shouldn't consist of watching everybody else release album after album and do tons of interviews and embark on multiple tours and how much of a great time their fans have while you're still sitting around depressing yourself over fruitless rumors and begging for some real explanation (that might make us less angry, actually), or sometimes just hoping for her to go outside or tweet about someone else just for confirmation of life. All of it, trying to bring back the feelings of an amazing era of her career and our lives that’s now long over. But we do it because we're the loyal ones and we want this album and what those years were more than just about anything. Intentionally or not, pressured or not, maybe she ought to stop treating us as a drop in the bucket and slapping us in the face as we're the few that still remember.
I still love Adele, I really really do. And for me, I know I always will. But I can't do this forum stuff anymore, feeling good and then being reminded that there's no reason to over and over again really sucks.
See you guys Q4, 2016, whenever she decides to remember too.
Edit, 2/3/16: Dear self of almost a year ago,
Again, cool your ****. I know you are tired of the torture of that is waiting for Adele, but writing delusional rants doesn't get anywhere. Fun facts: You do still love Adele, and she actually does care about our crazy asses, even though she doesn't go around tweeting and ****. Also you are addicted to ATRL and will miss your fellow DDs too much...your break will last a few days tops lmao. Anyway the album's called 25 and it comes out in November and everything about it will be worth the Adele Drought and then some.

^^I'm 20 now and I've been waiting for Adele's third album since summer 2011. So in that way I can relate to your anguish, "daydreams". For me, Adele is the best artist ever and her personality is amazing. I hope she understands how important she is to us.

I just can't see the album being nowhere near finished after that tweet last year.
If it isn't, then she really must have started over on it, which would be some major ********.
