Bit mad at this Slant Magazine review. But still, 3 stars isn't bad (and this probably skews the low side of the reviews).
Once again, these music reviewers criticise something about her persona and then use that to discredit the album, which is just poor journalism in my opinion.
Case in point:
All are perhaps valid points worthy of inclusion if you're an essayist or writing a think piece, but this is an album review y'all. For those wondering how this translates to meteoritic, it gives it a 60 (a good score) and on average, this publication grades 8.3 points lower than other critics. In terms of pop albums, the same writer gave Lemonade a 70 and that reached 90+ on metecritic I think.
Critics just don't seem to like Gaga. I remember the 0 BTW received...
MR is really doing incredible for a promo single. I can't believe Interscope is sleeping on this. Though it was smart of them to release A-Yo just a few days before the album ... It should hang around Top 40 until then, and MR should as well.
And good ol' Perfect Illusion hanging in the top 100 ...

I'm also here for Angel Down to be the ballad @ the Superbowl.
The outro would be SO haunting with a top-notch production around it and images of all the stuff that's going on around the world. It would be kinda tacky but it would definitely work & be a good moment.
I think this is the best Gaga album ever, it's like a big warm hug. I mean a lot of the lyrics I'm really just like I can't believe Lady Gaga has written this, the lyrics are so relatable. Everything Gaga said about the album in radio interviews is so true.

And I'm like listening to the lyrics more than ever this time around and they are connecting, not sure if it's because they are relatable or because I have grown up, because I always thought she was a great lyricist, I shouldn't be so surprised

I feel like million reasons got people's attention and Ayo convinced many to make the purchase. I think iTunes is implying that (million reasons staying steady).
