Adele wasn't originally skinny/fit to star with. She had no expectations to live up to. If an attractive female is singing, all the girls/guys will be crazy over her and vice versa if it was a male singer. Their looks/body create an interest in them and people then become oblivious to their talent they just see their beauty and the media cash in on it.
When Mimi come in to the game , she was the it girl - Voice , looks , body , success etc and now that she not that girl any more , she might have a hard time making hits. W/e tho ,she rich , has beautiful kids and don't need it.
I hope you guys don't think I'm being mean or anything. I'm not judging Mariah.
