I don't use the acoustic version. It just doesn't sound right without the tension present in the regular version in my opinion.

And I don't have a problem with Sam he just needs better, more interesting material.

Nah, I agree. Sam's voice is truly something beautiful. The type of beauty that has you contemplating about life while listening to it sing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas".

Blasphemy. I do enjoy Disclosures original though. Different strokes.

The last thing I heard from Sam was his Christmas cover, and I was slayed. I listened to his album a while ago, but I don't remember any of the songs. I think I just played Lay Me Down on repeat and called it a day.

Can we segue into Black Messiah now? I've given it a few spins, and despite me still having to interpret some of the songs lyrically I like it a lot. And I'm really not a fan of neosoul either.

I'm a Frank fan but I'll always stand by what I said prior: He only sold what he sold because of his "controversy". I really don't believe he's gay or whatever but I don't follow him regularly so I really wouldn't know. His voice, though, is just not there for me.
