JTBC's 'Ssul Jeon' on March 6 talked about Girls' Generation and 2NE1's respective comebacks and promotions. One of the topics that came up was the data loss situation that happened with Girls' Generation's "Mr.Mr" MV.
Heo Ji Woong said, "They said they lost data for Girls' Generation's MV, which I personally don't believe, but SM released an official statement, so let's just assume it's true. A big company like SM was releasing music for singers at a top star level, but it was hard to see any organization in their process."
Heechul said honestly, "Truthfully, I don't think it makes any sense that they lost data for the MV. When you film an MV, there's the MV director's thoughts and the SM representatives' thoughts. Then both sides will talk and mediate, but maybe they had a problem there or maybe there really was a problem with the data file--no one knows. I asked Girls' Generation and they said they to me that they had to film it again. They said they were on their way to filming. Usually, you film for three days without sleeping for this." It must have been tiring for the girls.
The first version of the music video was shot during 6-8 December. That version was completed long ago and teasers were aired already on 22 December. The intended comeback date was never revealed.
Then it was decided that they were not satisfied with the first video and postponed the comeback.
On 4th February they filmed new scenes for the second version of the music video, with the intention of having this second version completed in time for release on 19th February.
This theory completely makes sense
The first video is actually the B&W scenes in the official video. That's why back then in December there was a rumour that they will comeback in early January with a mannish concept
The second video is the one with nurse concept
So the official video is the combination of both versions

Ultimately the end product still sucked wang so who cares about which theory was true or not
They basically **** it up by losing the data of the second video so they have to re-use some of the scenes from the first one
Then you know the final result is a copy&paste mess

The Mr. Mr. comeback stage was a bit of a disaster. The outfits were horrible and unflattering, Tiffany's hairstyle and bright red lipstick was a mess. She looked a fool and her vocals failed her.
Jessica actually had the best/most interesting part of the performance, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon worked the breakdown as well.
Yoona didn't even put 0.1% effort into the performance. What was she doing at the start? It was like she just walked in from the street into the performance. Lazy no effort. I know it's a comeback stage and they were probably nervous but she didn't even try.
The choreography was rubbish, but I think their stages will improve with time. They looked bored and that reflected in the performance.

SNSD's was SO boring, omg. I got to the dance break (if you can call it that) and clicked x, there was a WHOLE minute left and I couldn't sit through another second of that vanilla backdrop/choreography. Did Yoona get one line? A complete MESS tbh. They already look fed up with the song. It started off promising in that room with the camera following them, but the stage was dull as ****. Was I supposed to be "amazed" that 20+ year old women were dancing with MEN for the first time on stage? *clutches pearls/bible*
Try harder SM, please. This is embarrassing. Like bootcut jeans and a fedora for their first comeback? Eww, wtf? K-Mart realness much? Congrats on the win tho, I suppose
I'd be pissed with SM as well, they lost half an MV right before a comeback. Total mess. I was expecting a more energetic performance from them. Especially because they are rumored to make another Japan comeback this year.

I feel like SM promised them stuff before they signed, that's why they did, but now plans have changed and stuff that was promised was not given and promotions are a mess I guess that's why the girls are fed up.
