Funny if Rebel Heart is seen as a "provocative" era. Suppose MDNA didn't really make a splash other than that the Super Bowl, and it was all fairly standard. The LMFAO bit and "Give me all your L.U.V" (or whatever it's called) were not by any means her finest moments though. |

BIM is amazing and it's the most innovative track she's done in a long time plus the Jimmy Fallon performance is one of my fave Madonna performances of all time. It should've been a big hit and the view count of Vevo suggests the song could have been a big hit. People know the song and many people liked it but radio refused to give it a chance. Although, it doesn't sound like any other pop song on the radio rn. 
MDNA is probably the most boring M era. I mean, it was the first era I experienced as a stan and after the Super Bowl, nothing happened 

 the iconic 

 Rebel Heart performances, the tour, the music, the fashion 

 and of course the backlash have made me feel like I've experienced a true Madonna era
