So basically, some developments from last night include:
1) If you sing fake Adele songs stolen from Tom Petty in a whiny and largely awful voice you will win
2) If you sing innovative and original songs in a unique and amazing voice you will lose
3) Beyoncé doesn't run the world (according to the Academy)
4) If you didn't think Taylor's dancing could get more annoying, you were wrong
5) Who is Beck? Why, Beck is the artist who beat our non-faves for AOTY (...and may be seeking a restraining order against the entire Hive).
6) Speaking of the Hive, in some ways, we are all at their mercy as they got thanked by name by their fav at the Grammys. How's that for impact?
7) Some pop girls...can actually sing?
8) Hozier could use a haircuit.
9) Awards shows are so 2012.
10) Adele is still on a Space mission with the only products thus far being suffering of fans and decline of the music industry as a whole

Last year was hilarious! Mostly movie awards. But I really had fun. This year is just garbage, boring and the nominees are horrible as well. I thought the Grammys would save this year, but nope. 23 performers (or how many they said) is a BIT too much.

I actually liked the Grammys better this year (in terms of performances, at least), last year was way too dark and mostly pretty meh. The whole stripped-down thing this year was a cool concept, but it was kind of overdone with the number of performances as you said, and it's lame to have a stripped-down show without the reigning queen of stripped-down, you know?
Movie awards were so much better last year, though.

I honestly hated all the ballads. And what I hated the most were all the songs about God, like wtf. I'm an atheist and I seriously felt uncomfortable a few times.

^^It's like she's better so they all made an effort to make better music to compete. I.e. if you look back, 2010-2012 stuff was all so much better than what's been put out last year and right now, since right now at best it's just the mediocre battling the mediocre.

I hate it when someone starts to thank The Lord for everything that happend in his life and that God will do all the work for him and bla-bla-bla Some people are overduing their faith way too much

I'll have to agree with you on this.
I do respect anyone's right to believe in what they want but I don't like when people display their faith.It's a private thing,you don't need to show it off.
I actually made a joke last night to Addict and CC,I said "now look at Beyoncè going on stage and thanking god before her fans" and that's exactly what happened.She does that in every speech and as a fan I can guarantee you that no divine entity forced me to buy her albums.

That's exactly it! I don't have anything against someone's beliefs, in fact a lot of my close friends are religious (and we simply don't talk about it), but I get reaaaally upset when I feel like somebody's trying to shove religion down my throat - and that's exactly how I felt during the Grammys, unfortunately.

First of all, those words were Ed's, not mine. And second of all, I really don't want to argue over religion. Pretty sure religious people wouldn't feel very good either if someone performed a song and its message would be "don't believe in God, he doesn't exist". I simply stated that I felt uncomfortable when every ****ing song was about God. Not sure what your problem is.

Expressing your belief (or anything else) with art is ok as long as you don't aim it at any particular person. You can always switch the channel, it's not personal. Ringing your door bell or stopping you on the street to try to convert you into Christianity would not be ok.

I wouldn't mind if every song at the Grammy's was about how there's no God. I don't have a problem with what other people do with their lives.

There are a few differences though.I'm gonna explain you why:
In western countries there is a factual equality between religions.No matter what you worship,no one would deny you civil rights.

It's true that sexuality is an "over-displayed" issue today,but there's an obvious reason for that.It might seem rhetorical,but it's in fact a form of propaganda.We need people to hear us,get used to us and embrace the fact that we are not B list humans.It's the same battle black people had to fight 50 years ago.And that's why they have a "black history month" and we have our gay prides.We do need that exposure,we need to be noticed by people first in order to be considered "normal".
That sad,It's completely unnecessary exposing religion like that.
I would never display my personal beliefs like that on a totally unrelated platform like a music award show simply because I think,with all the due respect,it's not tasteful.It's like talking about politics.Not the time,not the place.
