I went to the California Dreams tour in Tampa It was amazing! Such an entertaining show, I'm bummed we never got a full concert DVD for it, although KP:POM was really amazing and I'm glad we at least got something!

I wish I'd gone to the OOTB tour to see her perform some songs I doubt she ever will again (If You Can Afford Me, Mannequin, One of the Boys), but I liked TD better than OOTB, so between the two, I'm glad I was able to go to the California Dreams tour. Plus I got to see Robyn

I love Gaga, but I'm just not sure anymore. I mean...her fanbase is HUGE, but I'm not so convinced her radio audience is there anymore. I just don't think the 18 year olds/20-something's who were totally here for her THEN will be the same 18 year olds/20-something's here for her NOW. I think it's ultimately going to come down to which song is more radio-friendly. Both fanbases will send both songs to the top, or very near it, but the lasting effect will be determined by the cliche "radio" factor. I'm just not so sure Gaga has the 18 and over crowd on her side anymore with the likes of Miley and Selena floating around. I hope to be blown away, of course, and I just might be, you never know, but Gaga's card is up in the air as far as radio is concerned, imo. Which is why it's SMART of Katy to come out with something super commercial for her 3rd album's opener. She kind of cements that "old glory" emotion on people. Which is a smart move. Risks can be made later.

And listening to Teenage Dream now, it's literally pop perfection. It will never get old.

ON TOPIC: I think she'll get 1 in Australia, then Applause a week later will take its throne.

I know quite a few of us have been to her tours. She's a flawless tour artist. Her vocals, persona, likability >>> She's going to become a touring force this next era. I can feel it.

I hope so because defending the California Dreams tour numbers is a bitch It was like 99% sold out!

I bet the live Roar performance is gonna be killer... on the tour, I bet it'll close the show like California Gurls did on CDT.

I never went to the Hello Katy Tour because I was underage at the time and me as 14 year old can't do **** and no one wants to drive me to the venue.

I'm sure it will be less innovative but I don't think that's Katy's goal though, she's never said she wants to change the sound of pop music or anything of that matter. She knows she's a pop star, a radio pop star at that, not some indie/folk artist or someone that wants to change her sound drastically just to please the critics or those who are tired of her music. She's being herself yet delivering good music that the GP will eat up because it's the GP and her fans that are gonna buy the music that hopefully continues to become huge just like her previous smashes.

There you have it. Gaga and Katy aren't trying to do the same thing, so they aren't even competing against each other. Both will achieve their goals.
