Smack it. Smack it in the air.
This song took awhile to grow on me but once I finally accepted it into my heart I found peace, serenity, and myself. Beyoncé saved my ears and my soul while at the same time snatching my wig clean off my head. We must give thanks when such a timeless classic is bestowed upon us unworthy mortals. I'm almost positive that she unlocked the mystery of human existence in the outro , I just need to listen a few more hundred times to understand the tongues she was speaking in. The perfect addition to the perfect album, I predict multiple grammy noms next year your faves aren't safe!

Beyonce - 7/11
I don't like it like dat. It's very ratchet, and very ghetto. I am Christian and civil and this is very sin-inducing. It made me wanna commit crimes and stuff. She's very abrasive in the song and it makes me mad. It makes me wanna punch a wall, or even a person. She needs to stop provoking this behavior, 'cause for one -- it's unhealthy, for two -- it's illegal. I don't have the time to sit here and give time to songs like this. Very disturbing and out of nature.

Thanks iHype!
Unfortunately I've been really busy this weekend and haven't had time to review 7/11.
It will end at 11PM (38 minutes from now).
The Mockingjay soundtrack will be open for reviews indefinitely (I think we only have 1 review).
Other than that, it's quiet. Any current hit ideas?

7/11 By Beyoncé
Beyonce's new song / single? off of her re-release of her self-title'd album "BEYONCE". When I had first heard this song, I was very confused. I didn't expect a single ladies 2.0 or anything, but what I did expect was a more serious, amazing song by beyonce. I didn't get that from 7/11. It feels like a rushed filler track for the re-release, and It was pretty disappointing. It is an alright party / club song, but not a song that I could listen to whenever, or on repeat. It's a under-average beyonce track. I hoped from a great bop that would make me love "BEYONCE" more and maybe enough to buy the re-release, instead I got a reverse-warholian mess. Anyways, I can dance to it once in a great while, but its nothing special.
FINAL RATING : 5/10

Beyoncé - 7/11
"Shoulders sideways, smack it, smack it in the air / Legs movin' side to side, smack it in the air /Legs movin' side to side, smack you in the air," begins Beyoncé's latest opus, "7/11." It's a different look for her, unpolished and more unrestrained than anything we have seen from her for awhile, definitely a departure from her normally tightly controlled and polished image.
Beyoncé's songs usually are so heavily planned out and meticulously crafted that "7/11" is a major shock. It's arguably her most deliberately pop song since "Check On It," it's also by far one of the most trendy and of the moment songs she has done since. Lyrically, it's a fun time and quotable: "Never drop that alcohol, never drop that alcohol / I know you thinkin' about alcohol / I know I'm thinkin' bout that alcohol" but "7/11" just doesn't have the substance that a lot of Beyoncé's best songs have. Beyoncé is capable of putting out some of the most streamlined and polished pop tracks, and is at her best when doing so, but "7/11" is a bonus track tacked onto a EP from a re-release, so it's obvious the song is just about fun. "7/11" is a good time, just not one you'd remember in the morning.

@ moving your legs and clapping being unhealthy and illegal.
When 7/11 was released everyone was joking that the song was going to be a hit in retirement homes
IHype's review is textbook troll and attention seeking review. He actually loves the song. Just go check his posts in the 7/11 thread.
I don't care about the score but the text is garbage and it shouldnt be counted.

The Mockingjay soundtrack is a clever and well-executed musical representation of the themes and issues contained within the film it supports. Curated by Lorde, the soundtrack draws on a variety of artists and styles but still manages to maintain a cohesive feel.
Stand out tracks on the album include the opening track, "Meltdown". With 5 artists (counting Stromae's production) on the track, one could expect the song to be a bit of a mess, but the result is a triumph (particularly Q-Tip's fiery verse) and easily one of the best songs on the album. The track powerfully captures the chaos, confusion and ferocity that riddles the characters on both sides of the conflict in Mockingjay.
The other stand out track for me is "This Is Not A Game". The chainsaw sounding production by The Chemical Brothers reinforces the title of the track and throws the listener into the horror of Katniss' situation. Although Miguel's vocal is fine, I just wonder if there was someone who could have executed it a little better. All in all, this is still an outstanding track and I knew it'd be an album highlight as soon as it was released as a promotional track.
Overall, a strong soundtrack that will go down as one of my favourites of the year.

Would have loved to do those couple of reviews ('Yeezus' and 'Pure Heroine') but I've been extra busy, hope I do some next time.

IHype's review really shouldn't have been counted.
If we need something to review I'd suggest Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.

I could give Mockingjay another listen if we need more reviews.
If we review Uptown Funk, expect my second consecutive negative single review

In order to combat certain types of reviews, I've implemented a new set of length requirements that will deter both short reviews and short sentences.
Please know that these new requirements are only for the better. They are not meant to discourage stans from writing reviews; they are meant to promote more thoughtful and detailed reviews.
You asked him to lengthen his review to 80 words,
presumably in hopes that the length would provide more thought and meaning. It didn't.
I really hope you didn't count this mess.

It was counted just as any other normal and truthful review. Sorry the BeyHive are the ones (shockingly) disagreeing with my truthful opinion and protesting to have it not be counted because they don't agree.
