Sound Check | Meghan Trainor, Sia, Charli XCX Battle for #1
For the week of August 17 - 23, 2014
Click on the screen-cap of the video to play the video.
On last week's countdown, Clean Bandit's impressive stateside run with "Rather Be" culminated in the Jess Glynne-featuring song and video hitting the #1 position. In doing so, she knocked Sia's first solo hit, "Chandelier", off its perch atop the countdown. Charli XCX is also attempting to score her first solo #1 video with "Boom Clap", after her assist on Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" helped that song hit the top spot five times.
Find out this week's #1 video, plus catch debuts from Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and Iggy Azalea, by checking out the Sound Check chart below.

Sound Check | Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj Debut
For the week of August 24 - 30, 2014
Click on the screen-cap of the video to play the video.
Charli XCX shot straight to the top last week, scoring her first solo #1 video with The Fault in Our Stars/Sucker single "Boom Clap". Will the fresh faces continue to dominate 2014 this week, as Meghan Trainor attempts to secure her first ever #1 single with the smash breakout hit "All About That Bass"? Or can Sia rise above and strike with her second week at the top with "Chandelier". Don't count out last week's Top 10 debuts, Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora's "Black Widow" as well as the Ariana Grande/Zedd collaboration "Break Free", as both look to pick up where the artists' last hits left. And that's not even including this week's newest additions from Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, with both artists looking to crash the party with the year's second #1 debut, following Katy Perry's "Dark Horse".
Find out this week's #1 video, as well as Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj land, by checking out the Sound Check chart below.

Sound Check | Song of the Summer Edition
Welcome to this special edition of the Sound Check chart. Over the past couple of years, the concept of the Song of the Summer has grown exponentially, with the process of vetting potential candidates beginning while we're still in the throws of Spring. This year had a lot of potential candidates, with many artists dominating with concurrent hits. Iggy Azalea began the summer with the smashes "Fancy" and "Problem", while "Fancy" guest star Charli XCX's own "Boom Clap" became a runaway hit just as "Fancy" began to die down. Then there was Sam Smith, whose own "Stay with Me", coupled with his striking feature on Disclosure's sleeper hit "Latch", successfully broke the English music sensation into the U.S. Then there were the outliers, including Sia's anthemic "Chandelier", Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong" and Magic!'s "Rude".
But only one can be named the #1 song of the Summer. Arriving to the answer was simple, as I scored the videos 20 to 1 through the Memorial Day weekend countdown all the way to the countdown posted earlier today, with the #1 video scoring 20 points, #2, 19; #3, 18; etc., etc.
Find out how your favorite song ranked by checking out the full chart below!
Congratulations to Magic! and their hit single "Rude", whose three weeks at #1 during the summer was enough to triumph over Iggy Azalea's and Sam Smith's multiple hits. How did your favorite song do? Sound off below!

The #10 should've been the #1 song of the summer but the top is good. Love the #1! + Latch, Fancy
