The first result will (most likely) be from Sunderland. If Leave gets 55%+ there, it's in with a good shot nationally. Any lower and it's probably Remain.

Actually, the European Central Bank's monetary and fiscal policies favor Germany and Britain and the Netherlands, which is why Spain and Greece struggle.

The EU is not without its share of problems but the Union itself offers more benefits to all countries.

Not really, but there's been some research on how different regions are likely to vote, based on demographics, previous UKIP share of the vote, etc.
