Not that I'm knocking her for it by any means, it's part of the reason she's WON so hard and I wouldn't look to any other pop star for serious feminist commentary, either - it's just ironic the Hive think their fave is truly on another level of woke self-empowerment

This is besides the point. Nearly everyone would agree that she benefitted from it immensely.
The problem is that -- assuming the lyric referenced in the OP is accurate -- he didn't imply that he aided her exposure; he point blank says he made her famous. Which is completely false.
She was famous before then. She'd still be famous now even without him interrupting her -- to what extent exactly nobody can say for sure.
How did this turn into a discussion about feminism and Beyoncé?
The line is just an attempt at a brag.
I mean, I can see how some might find it offensive, but this is a guy that once called himself a god on a track. It fits in with his character and really isn't anything to get worked up over.
