Making any transaction on Tidal requires a membership.

If people really wanted to hear the album bad enough to sign up for Tidal,
why on Earth would they not just stream it with their free trial of Tidal instead of purchasing it?

They wouldn't. And that's why the album charted at #27 based on streaming alone.
And that's why the number of people subscribed to Tidal doubled.

Glad this has been settled.
