1) I only know the Kylie song and I haven't listened to that either.
2) In contestants? A desire to improve more than anything else. There's going to be feedback and sometimes you might not like it. I know the feeling, I've been a contestant twice now. But the judges are only ever there to help. If I can see someone trying to improve or use a technique based on the feedback they got the week before, that won't go unnoticed.
3) That's a really good but difficult question to answer. I think I'd have to go with verses. You can say a lot more in a verse than you can a chorus because often a chorus has to be the general anchor that brings everything together, whereas you can get really creative with verses.
4) Definitely Piano.
5) Probably not. I don't think I ever have before. I guess it depends on how much I want those shoes and how much I need new shoes. I recently bought a pair that was around $90 based on those reasons.
6) Whatever happens, definitely don't give up if it's something you're interested in or even passionate about. Maybe this season of PH won't be for you, but that doesn't mean you're not a competent writer. One shining recent example I think would be keshaspearsxo, a contestant who was eliminated in Round 4 of Season 6, but finished in 3rd place in Season 7 against much stronger competition. There are many other success stories like this in PH history. Plus there's always the comeback round!
