Bad Romance's opening salvo sounds like a giant disco hit of the 90's but the verses and chorus quite didnt live up to the span of excitement that was catered by the intro. Yes indeed, something was lacking --- the Gaga element we all saw from JD and PF but that doesnt make this one a bad song either. Its catchy and fun and definitely the new definition of an edgier Lady Gaga and I dont give a damn whatever she makes out of her life.

No way.

"Bad Romance" is barely an average song, but it's certainly gonna be a hit when it's most likely coming from 4 consecutive Pop #1s. Nothing new IMO, it screams "Poker Face" most of the time and I see no "monster" on it. So far she's just trying to milk this "I'm a very successful debut artist" phase a bit more instead of evolving.

i stan for gaga, but i think rihannas new song is better though their very different.....
to me, lady gaga LITERALLY implemented the monster inspiration by using the "ra ra" and crazy beats staight out of a horror film, while rihanna worked with the same inspiration and dispayed it through the emotion of her voice, the piano, and neyos genius lyrics describing the "riskiness" of love

i wonder who will come out on top between their new singles. but either way their both amazing, neither of them ever dissapoints

wow. i like the song but i agree with the "milking". but i think its very smat if calculated. many people still see her as a "one hit wonder" despite the fact that she has multiple hits. she probably wanted to keep a very similar sound while giving us huge hits before she takes the risk of experimenting to far (single wise atkeast).....

The demo kind of sounded like Poker Face, but the finalized version doesn't IMO. The hype would be so much bigger if the demo never leaked, but I love it more everytime I listen to it.

I wish people would see all songs, not just Bad Romance, as totally independent pieces of music, thinking only about the song you're listening to. Poker Face has absolutely nothing to do with Bad Romance. Really, it's just coincidental that they're both by Lady GaGa. Just like Russian Roulette. Who cares about Disturbia, or Take A Bow, or Umbrella? They don't matter at all. All those other songs are old news, focus on the song you're listening to right now. If you think it sounds great, well, great, and if you think it's crap, that's great too. A song is never bad or better in comparison to another song. A song should just bad or good by itself. I don't see what makes this edgy though. A 3rd-grader reading Goosebumps could come up with creepier, less cliche lyrics. How much effort did she really put into this? The pattern of "I want your [insert spooky word]"'s and signature GaGa gibberish "leather-studded kiss in the sand" is about the extent of the lyrics, and for somebody so daring she really played it safe with the song's hook.
