right? like, I hate how this point is being ignored. If the music was good and people wanted to hear it (from Radio 1's audience, obviously!) then they'd play it.

This is an unfortunate blow to madonna's next era but I get it. Radio is a business and businesses cannot support or push things that don't return a profit. Fact is, madonna simply is not relevant to this generation of teens and so playing her is just illogical for a radio station aimed at young people. Exactly. If the artist is able to connect with the radio station's core audience, they would play them. I suppose madonna has been unable to connect to their core audience this time around. This has less to do with her age and more to do with her not being relevant.

Obviously she isn't on par with the artists of this time, but she has the most known songs for any veteran female artist among this generation

Living For Love is a great song. Not "the" song, but it's a good song that deserves to be played.
