Her side project You + Me's debut album "rose ave." debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and is the #2 digital album and the #1 folk album.

It's easy to write P!nk off because she doesn't have media presence. But when looking at the facts, she's covered in the media when it matters. There's really nothing dirty they can report about her like they can with other stars so that makes it seem like nobody cares. The opposite of that is true actually. She's respected and the crap rumors don't get coverage. Only the stories that put her in a good light.

Because she was overshadowed by popstars who followed the actual Queen of Pop's model and were in the running for Princess of Pop (of course with Britney earning the honorific title).

Fast forward to 2014 and now that P!nk is commercially more successful than her peers, the "Queen of Pop" title is set in stone thanks to Madonna's continued dominance in the 2000s. P!nk is well on her way to earn her own honorific title and is incredibly deserving of one.

'Queen of Pop' implies a grip on pop culture. It implies almost everything about that person is talked about and becomes an event. This is clearly not the case with P!nk, who is very successful but has a comparatively modest media profile.

P!nk was huge in 2002, but still not above Shakira, Britney and Avril. I'm Not Dead ironically revived her career in mid-2006, but she didn't surpass Nelly Furtado (though she deserves an honorable mention). Funhouse was surpassed by Beyonce and Gaga. TTALT was surpassed by nobody. P!nk never really stood above her peers until that smash.

You do realize by listing all those people that P!nk was the ONLY female running all those years right? No matter what album she puts out, it's among the best selling of the year.

Also, I keep reading "inflated" but I was being modest with the numbers. Somebody please correct me if you can. I wonder if you know her numbers better than somebody who's been a STAN for 12 years? Maybe you know better than me, a moderator on her official website?

Her albums are incredibly successful but she never had an album outdo her peers until TTAL. I'm not shading P!nk by saying this

I don't know if you thought my original post was shade but I basically praised P!nk for going from bottom of the crop to the top and said she deserves a unique title for her accomplishments.

You don't have to outdo anybody once to be the Queen Of Pop. I know you're not being shady or rude

As far as album sales go P!nk was the best selling female of 2002 in the US at least. I know I read that somewhere. Her and Avril were mentioned and they were both on Arista and it was this whole article about how well the label did that year with various artists.

But yeah, I don't know if Madonna was ever the #1 selling female of the year or artist overall but it does take more than album sales. I don't think anybody aside from Madonna is the Queen of Pop. Not Britney, not Beyonce, not GaGa, and not Katy, not P!nk.

Now in 10 years we can talk. Madonna will probably be retired, doing farewell shows or something there will be a reason to crown a new Queen of Pop. The title is going either to P!nk or somebody else. I'd say Beyonce but she's never been a pop star. It could be Taylor too if she sticks to pop

That's cute!!! But the facts are that there's only one lesbian stan on ATRL and on her official board http://pink.shread.net/forum the lesbian to straigh chick ratio is 60/40. Also, the median age of a P!nk stan has been well under housewife range.

Most stans of P!nk on here are gay men. On the official board we actually have a surprising amount of straight guys
