Madonna f/ Justin Timberlake and Timbaland
"4 Minutes"
- Whoever thought that age will not matter for this single. Excellent way of opening the Hard Candy album When I first heard this single, I already loved it. Nice strategy of Madonna teaming up with two of the greatest music artists of the present. This track has a futuristic music video showing a so-called end of the world while doing minor dance choreography. Excellent video, nice vocals, and very impressive single choice. Truly this queen hasn't lost her luster yet
"...Time is waiting... we only got 4 minutes to save the world !! ..."

Mariah Carey
"Bye Bye"
- Finishing at the Number 9 spot is Mariah Carey with her second single "Bye Bye". This is an excellent song full of emotions and tells people to always treasure the ones they have from the very start until end; that we should not be saying farewells to the ones we value most because their love always remain in our hearts wherever they go. This is one of the few songs that almost made me cry since Avril Lavigne's music video for "When I'm Gone". This is my second highest ballad in my Best of 2008
"...Just lift your hands up to the sky... Cause we will never say buh-bye..."

Britney Spears
"Piece of Me"
- Everyone wants a piece of this princess. A much better music video than Gimme More I must say; the choreography was simple but everybody must have loved the multiple Britney in disguise part. Everytime I hear the first three seconds of this song, I stop whatever I'm doing except listen to this track. It's very addicting, and never reaches to a point that I'm sick and tired of listening to it. The concept of the song really fits Britney Spears. Who doesn't want a piece of her anyway? This is Britney's second appearance in my Best of 2008.
"...And with a kid on my arm... I'm still an exceptional earner... You want a piece of me..."

Lady Gaga f/ Colby O'Donis
"Just Dance"
- Thanks to the influence of my Filipino friend, I got hooked to this song. Even without the music video, I was already addicted to it. What can I say? I'm a sucker for dance track songs. I love upbeat songs cause it gets my energy up and probably the main reason why I listen to music. Excellent collaboration choices. Her looks may be copied but her music personality cannot. Very unique artist I must say and must release even greater music than this one to stay in the game. Live performances of this song is also good, just be sure to keep you distance from Gaga if you value your tooth lmao just kidding
"...Just dance... Gonna be okay... Da-da Doo-doo..."

Rihanna
"Don't Stop The Music"
- Some have already placed this song in their best of 2007 but for me it's going to be on my 2008 c/d. Another dance track that's got me hooked and dancing everytime I hear it. This song eventhough a dance song, has a great meaning to it; that you have someone on the dance floor doing the moves with you and intensity rises with it. Also, the unique addition from MJ's music made this song even more danceable. This song already has a number of remixes out there because everybody knows its really a perfect song to play in a club. This is her third appearance in my Top 20 list.
"...We're hand in hand... Chest to chest... and now we're face to face..."
