One of Danielle's stronger songs. It's a fun song and the lyrics may be cliche but who cares when country radio eats up anything that involves "America" in it. It's still yet to break the top fifty but I'm not counting it out yet to become country radio's song of the summer.
"You only want me when you're lonely, you only call me when you're down, you only want me when you're lonely, but you can't have me now."
This song surprised me with how far it made it. I enjoy it a lot but I never thought it'd even reach top twenty, yet alone top fifteen. It's a situation we're all too familiar with so it probably earned points on that factor. Also Jana's voice sounds almost soothing even though how depressing this topic is. Either way I'm happy with it's placement.
"Just take my hand and baby we could fall, let's turn this open field into an old dance hall."
The biggest rob of the rate. "Dance Hall" is Danielle's best song on her debut album and deserved to make top ten. It's lyrics are brilliant and the chorus is like a drug you can't lose. Can't believe it got cut short, shame on y'all for letting this happen.
"And how do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know that you were born, you were born to fly."
How tragic would it have been if a cover made the top ten over some of the songs that got eliminated recently?? It's a good cover, but not top ten worthy. Probably the perfect placing for it.
