If you really expected huge numbers considering she has never been a big first week seller then you are clearly delusional. You all cling to "But the "massive" promo!!1111" when in reality she has never been that kind of artist that people rush to buy their albums as soon as they hit the stores. Doing promo and hit singles doesn't guarantee AMAZING album sells, it depends on the artist, so I'm happy shes getting great promo so she can best her first week sales, which she's clearly gonna do. Longevity is her strongest point, so I hope she can maintain that. |

Why in the world would her label invest millions and millions and millions of $$$ in clearchannel deals and other ventures for an artist that people "don't rush to buy her album" ?

Her predicted numbers are great! She's going to do 100,000 more than her last album! Also you know her singles will smash and she will end up having amazing longevity.

4 weeks at #1 is something that has nothing to do with the sales decline. That's why I'm saying that 500k would be ok for her considering the success of her last era. considering that Gaga and Taylor are pulling numbers between 800k and 1.2 m.

Not you comparing her to MJ when you all get mad when jokinly compre her to him nnn ;; they are different artist, different times, artist now a days HARDLY sell a big amount of albums. I don't now why you are comparing Michael's sales after two months to Katy's PREDICTED first week sales.
She is bigger than she was before, and the predictions prove that.
