Omg get him

I wonder if Robert Rodriguez will scrap Gaga's role in Sin City 2 because of this. She's not a box office draw at ALL.
A $3-4 million opening weekend.
This is tragic.

Oh well. Abysmal numbers there's no denying that... BUT, she's in it for all of 30 seconds (if that) and keep in mind; if Britney can survive Crossroads, if Mariah can survive Glitter, if Beyoncé can survive Obsessed... Gaga's going to survive Machete Kills.

I first found out about the movie on ATRL. Lack of promo and a bad script/acting is the reason to why this movie bombed. Not because of Gagas small appearance!

Lol, your acting as if Gaga was the reason the damn thing flopped. Ya'll do too much. Having seen her scenes, she makes more of a cameo appearance than anything else.

Yep. They basically used her cameo to promote the film. The Vanity Fair cover she got that year was to promote the film so she was a huge reason why the first one was so successful.
and at anyone trying to blame Gag's for this movie flopping.
|
She was the main reason the first one was so successful because of that Vanity Fair cover she got, but she's not the reason the second one flopped because she made a cameo that was used in almost every single TV spot or trailer to promote the film.

"your point " Says otherwise, which was why I commented on it. His point is exactly the point you just made. So there'd be no reason to ask his point, if it was the point in which you actually agreed with. The point is pointing out ATRL's hypocrisy, and we all know that.

Obsessed was a #1 box office success even if a critical failure.
But, anyway Machete Kills has nowhere near the level of relation to Gaga as Glitter, Crossroads and Obsessed had with Mariah, Britney and Bey. Those films were entirely carried by those girls. Gaga's good.

It's sad that they used Gaga as a main focus for promotion if she was only in the film for 3 minutes.
They should've drew on the other stars to gain more audience. Sofia has a huge following!
