I get that. I just don't think she pulls off the 'confident bad bitch' vibe.
They're sexual but still have a certain sweetness. Vocally, 'Me & U' and 'Don't Go Too Slow' are shy and innocently daring ('think I wanna make that move now... baby tell me if you like it') and 'F*ck You Silly' is just funny. The beat to 'What She Don't Know' is sparse and glacial, and I think that suits her much better than the heavy production on the mixtape. She doesn't own these tracks like she did with her old material. I'm not sure I get the personality she's trying to pull off here. But I only listened to it once, so maybe it'll improve for me, not that I'm particularly looking forward to listening again. Think I'll just listen to 'Shakespeare' on repeat for a bit.
like I said, that was 6/7 years ago. she's not the same girl anymore. she even stated numerous times that those songs were Ryan's vision of her, not her own. then there's the whole identity crisis thing. that's what this mixtape is for. either you get it or you don't.

Or maybe I get it and just don't like it?
Not the overdefensive Cassie stans when I've been repping her since before your births.
