I'm on the fence with this one, but I'm leaning more towards a "no". I love Let Go, but I think it had short-term impact. Music lovers will certainly praise the album for being soaked in angst-filled, raw and vulnerable elements. That is exactly why I love the record – but something about Avril's first two records seem forgotten to me. While she went against the bubblegum pop grain that was huge at the time (a la Britney Spears), what she was doing was really her own personal take on Jagged Little Pill (1995) by Alanis Morissette. Let Go is a damn good album, but it doesn't scream "classic" to me. It wasn't super-revolutionary or game changing. It's more what I would call an "iconic" album, but falls slightly short of legendary status.

No it's not a classic but The rain is a classic.
Sock it to me and the other songs were for the moment songs.
The rain made me purchase her album. My first female album purchase along side Hard core by Kim. Of course I placed Missy's album on top of Kim's so that my mom didn't give me a hard time.

Although this era was great for her, I'm going to say no because it has no "classic" qualities making it remembered in the future. Sure songs like S&M, What's my name?, and Only girl (in the world) are still know but that doesn't mean it'll be a remembered album or the songs won't fade, if that makes sense.
