I've listened to the whole thing multiple times. If the only thing you can say for her variety is simply the PRODUCTION of ONE album, we have a problem. But thanks for trying.

The difference is Taylor didn't pull one so Taylor's rise to fame was more genuine. I mean most of the articles I read about her do not talk about her music. They either talk about her weird costumes or the crazy antics she just recently pulled or whatever.

You've listened to the whole thing multiple times and you think the songs all sound the same, wow you have a REALLY interesting set of ears! And yes the production, aka what the music sounds like, plays a pretty big part in determining variety. The themes of all 16 songs are also all different but come together to form a cohesive story. So yeah, basically this album isn't monotonous at all! You should listen to it again, maybe you'll start picking up the subtle difference in tone between songs like 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and 'Everything Has Changed'.

I disagree that that is what 'we' means. But if that is what was meant (as ambiguous at is was) then it is still clearly false, as 'we' don't have a collective agreement or else there wouldn't be a thread. Pointless post either way.
