But the song itself...meh. I guess I just like dance pop Rihanna better.

I think the reason why I don't like Diamonds all that much is because I've come to expect a dance track from Rihanna as the first single from her new albums. I went in expecting a SMASH and we got a semi-ballad. Same deal with Ke$ha. Hopefully their second singles serve up some uptempo dance realness.
