No worries. Yes Taylor has this tendency to make her themes ambiguous.It really depends upon the listener how he/she would interpret the song but it has been confirmed that it's about her band,fans and everything they went through. Just like breathe. Most would think that it's about lovers breaking up but it's really about losing a friend and having a fallout.. Anyway I should've chosen Mean or Never Grow Up.They have more distinct non love themes
Taylor used fairytale-ish metaphors in this song but if you will read between the lines the song is really about her band and fans. The first verses actually remind me of her Gammy 2010 slayage.
