A tight race to the top: Asher is not "Here With..." a No. 1 yet; Nicko's "Love Is Killing..." it!
Hedley places a "Kiss" in the top five.
Nicko(s) Ganos blocks newcomer Asher Monrose from reaching No. 1 on Hot 25. For a second week in a row, "This Love Is Killing Me" halts "Here With You" upward movement to the summit. The race between the Hot 25 top 2 contenders has been extremely close. "This Love" held a 5% lead over "Here With You" last week, but this week, the difference is less than 1%. Thus this week is the closest race since Scissor Sisters' "Only The Horses" blocked Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" by a 2-4% margin for nearly 5 weeks earlier this summer.
"Here With You" slips 1-2 (tie) on Digital Songs (18 plays, down 22%) and drops considerably in airplay (24 spins, down 29%), though it still leads Hot Airplay for a fourth week. "This Love Is Killing Me" stays 2-2 (tie) on Digital Songs (18 plays, down 14%) but unlike "Here," it stays 2-2, as well as digital, on Hot Airplay (18 spins, 0% changes). Despite "Here With You" having more overall plays and spins for this week than "This Love," the latter comes out as the victor. It leads over by a minuscule margin based from the compounded Hot 25 scoring that also includes streaming points.
"This Love" amasses a 4th week atop Hot 25, surpassing Cobra Starships' "You Make Me Feel" three-week stay, while "Here" collects its 4th week atop Hot Airplay.
Asher's "Here With You" has a decent shot of reaching No. 1 on Hot 25 in the coming weeks if and only if his digital and airplay stabilize, or if Nicko's "This Is Killing Me" declines drastically.

Two spots below the top two entries also remain the same. Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" holds steady at No. 3 on Hot 25, dropping 3-5 on Digital Songs (15 plays, down 17%) and 6-8 on Hot Airplay (10 spins, down 9%). Cobra Starships' former No. 1 smash for 3 weeks, "You Make Me Feel" remains at No. 4 on Hot 25, 6-6 on Digital Songs (14 plays, up 17%) and bumps up 19-14 on Hot Airplay (5 spins, up 25).
Last week's greatest gainer: Hedley's "Kiss You Inside Out," now leads on Digital Songs and breaks into the top five as it leaps 7-5 on Hot 25. "Kiss" earns the Digital Gainer title and a No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs, and for Hedley, after ascending 5-1 (19 plays, up 35%). Unfortunately, it plummets massively on Hot Airplay, 2-10 (6 plays, down 76%), thus "Kiss" becomes one of the few digital leaders that misses the top four.
On its 35th week, The Wanted "Glad You Came," once again extends their record-breaking chart run, lingers at No. 6 for three weeks straight. Scissor Sister's "Only The Horses" gallops 8-7 on Hot 25 and Digital Songs (13 plays, up 30%) and travels 18-12 on Hot Airplay (6 spins, up 100%). Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" decays southward 5-8 within the top ten of Hot 25, slipping 7-12 on Digital Songs (8 plays, down 27%) and 12-17 on Hot Airplay (5 spins, down 28%).
Lana del Rey continues her string of greatest gainers and top ten hits as "Ride" surges 19-9 on Hot 25. It rides into the top ten due to its impressive No. 4 debut on Digital Songs (16 plays) and lifting 9-5 on Hot Airplay (12 spins, up 20%). "Ride" follows in the footsteps of Video Games (12-5), Born To Die (12-5), Blue Jeans (20-8), and Summertime Sadness (20-9), all of which are top five hits: Video Games (No. 1), Born To Die (No. 4), Blue Jeans (No. 5), and Summertime Sadness (No. 5 ). The "Video Games" singer collects her fifth top ten entry from her latest single, "Ride," which is vying to reach top five. As of now, Rey's only single that fails to chart within the top ten is "National Anthem," as it stalled at No. 17 a month ago.

Rounding out the top ten is Maroon 5's "One More Night," as it drops 9-10 on Hot 25. "Night" ascends 12-9 on Digital Songs (9 plays, up 125%) but tumbles 5-9 on Hot Airplay (7 spins, down 42%). It is the current Hot 100 No. 1 on the US Billboard.
With "Ride" pushing in the top ten, Rihanna's "Diamonds" spends its second week outside the top ten. It slips 10-12 on Hot 25, despite rising 4-3 on Hot Airplay (16 spins, up 6%) and debuting at No. 14 on Digital Songs (5 plays).
Ke$ha's "Die Young," Christina Aguilera's "Your Body," and One Direction's "Live While We're Young" climb upward within the top twenty. Mika has a reason to celebrate; his song, "Celebrate" darts in at No. 6 on Airplay and No. 17 on the main Hot 25, thus it claims the Hot Shot of the week. It has yet to enter Digital Songs. Big-star Adele's "Skyfall" lands at No. 20 on Hot 25. The 007 soundtrack falls onto lucky No. 007 on Hot Airplay (11 spins) and No. 15 on Digital Songs (3 plays), in just 1 day of release. Tracking ends on Friday's afternoon US Eastern time.
"Red," the promo single and the title track for Taylor Swift's upcoming album makes an entrance just outside the top twenty. Bruno Mars won't be locked out of the Hot 25 as his latest single, "Locked Out of Heaven," appears within this week's chart. Check back tomorrow for a new Hot 25.
