Most of this just seems like lame excuses to me. Britney doesn't get grammys left and right because for the most part her music isn't ground breaking and her vocals are not that interesting. She is great as a package but not what the grammys look for.

At this point it's all fun for her, and basically doing whatever she wants. Then eventually she will leave the music business for good. And the singing part is incorrect, she gave up on her voice at the beginning of her career when her label didn't allow her to sing in her real voice. So through out her career she didn't really put an effort in singing much and she gave up on it and stuck to dancing, however I still think singing is still there because the demo from this year called Everyday was a track she put effort in singing, plus she co-wrote it. While I understand this whole argument about Britney being a legend/icon/god etc. and not having to prove anything... most of the time it comes off as excuses for her lack of motivation. I wont get into that cause that's a whole 'nother topic but I don't think it should come to any ones surprise why Britney has only won 1 Grammy.

At the end of the day I'm sure Britney isn't losing any sleep over not having her Grammy for Blackout or In The Zone.... so I don't understand why her fans are.

a) not here for Katy Perry, I hope she never wins a grammy.
b) Taylor Swift gets the awards because she literally does all the work, she writes every lyric and every note and because she brought country music to the forefront again, it's been a while. Taylor puts more work in, that work is recognised. And people who say Taylor Swift is crap are delusional, check her rewards, check her critical reception, check her peers and check her sales. She deserves it.
