I agree with you. I just don't understand the people who are so ecstatic about this, primarily on my Facebook. I do understand that most people associate Osama with 9/11, but most people don't realize that HE wasn't the one behind it. I don't know how to explain it, but I'm sure you know what I mean. One person can't plan all of what happened that day. It was more of a group effort. But anyway, I hope that, if this is true, America will get the **** out of the Middle East. Our primary focus for the past 10 years has been to "fight terrorism", when we're no better, killing all of those innocent people there who have nothing to do with what happened to America.
I'm glad they caught him, though. It's nice to know that that chapter of our lives is seemingly over with now. Hopefully we can learn from everything that has happened and become a stronger country.

Osama was the lead planner in the 911 attacks and he publicly (on video) took responcibility for them. To the world, not just America, he's the face of terrorism. His image and existence represent an entire ideology of hate so his death is symbolic in that it's a major blow to those beliefs.
Also, it just feels good to have a perceivable sense of "justice", especially after such a long time.
