Why is people making such a big deal about FIRST WEEK SALES?
I'm here for OVERALL WORLDWIDE sales.
It was also Madonna's eleventh studio album. That ended up selling a little bit more than Circus.
Congrats Britney. She will beat Madonna and Barbra in the future (in #1 terms). No doubt.
I don't know. All of Madonna's studio albums have debuted at #1 since Music and Babs just got her last one in 2009, when everyone thought Mariah was gonna get it.
These certainly aren't scoff worthy opening numbers.
And there are 27 new reported posts, most which came from this thread. You girls just couldn't keep it cute, could you? A few of you can probably expect to accumulate a few points.
And wasn't Pink Friday released the same week as BLACK FRIDAY? Your point is?
Anyways, impressive records by Britney and kudos to her. I would have liked higher numbers, but I'll take it. Hopefully, promo will continue to move forward, even though they started it entirely too late.
This time last year I'd be crying in a corner over these numbers, but no one buys albums anymore. And the general public isn't here to support anymore; they're not loyal to artists. More people downloaded the album than tossed over the money for sure. But who ****ing cares, these records are incredible and the music is sex.
