Anyways, the lack of frontrunner was all that I meant. Bieber was an unlikely winner, simply because of the stigma attached to his teen idol status. Florence had only one nomination, signifying a lack of widespread support for her. Mumford & Sons weren't big enough to break out of the "alternative" ghetto. The category didn't feel preordained like it has been in some years past.
