Reeces' Best Of 2010: Top 30 Albums (#2)
02. Rihanna, Loud
Standouts: 'S&M', 'California King Bed', 'Only Girl (In The World)', 'What's My Name?', 'Cheers (Drink To That)', 'Man Down', 'Love The Way You Lie Pt II'
Barbadian beauty and hit machine Rihanna had a big task to achieve this year, be better than perfection. Good Girl Gone Bad and Rated R were both pop masterpieces, the comparisons are inevitable, and while this album is an excellent work of art too, it just doesn't come close to those two. In this new era, Rihanna is ready to conquer the clubs with exciting dance-pop beats that simply command attention. 'Only Girl (In The World)', the lead single and number one worldwide hit, has done more than that for her, it's addictive, it has attitude, and the lyrics are straight to the point, I want you make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world'. What's next? The scandalous S&M, stick and stone may hurt her bones, but chains and whips excite her, a little explicit, but ear candy nonetheless. With this record, Rihanna explores with more than disco beats, she goes urban with the kiss off song 'Fading', goes back to her island roots with the clever 'Man Down', and turns up the heat with probably her sexiest song to date, 'Skin'. Drake and Minaj, as the feature artists, deliver great verses, nice additions to 'What's My Name' and 'Raining Men' respectively, but it's ultimately Rihanna the one that adds the flavor to both tracks. Rihanna slows down the music for the heartfelt 'California King Bed', it's also worth mentioning she sounds absolutely stunning, and finally her take on her smash hit with Eminem, 'Love The Way You Lie', puts an end to this wonderful record. I knew all along, it was gonna be almost impossible to top her last two record, but Loud is different and definitely a nice addition to her discography, an enjoyable album from beginning to end. Hands down.

Agree with almost everything you said, except for Man Down, this song is AWFUL , worst song of Rihanna's career.
Now I have no idea who's gonna be your #1, I thought it would be Rihanna.

Reeces' Best Of 2010: Top 30 Albums (#1)
01. Ke$ha, Animal
Standouts: 'Hungover', 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes', 'Tik Tok', 'Blah Blah Blah', 'Your Love Is My Drug', Kiss 'N' Tell', 'Take It Off', 'Stephen'
It took me a very long time to process that party animal and newcomer Ke$ha delivered my favorite album of the year. I've been listening to this since January, so maybe that played a huge role, but no excuses, this album is pop perfection from beginning to end. Her first line is a sign that this is gonna be a crazy record, [i"Maybe I need some rehab, or maybe I need some sleep"[/i], an addict or a party girl, she is both. One of the things Ke$ha has in her favor is the fact that she is the only doing this type of music, so her sound is pretty unique, not to mention her lyrics set her apart as well. Her party side is reflected on tracks like the worldwide smash and one of the most addictive tracks ever created 'Tik Tok' or the rock influenced 'Party At A Rich Dude's House'. Ke$ha whines about a sentimental guy in 'Blah Blah Blah', and loses her cool with her cheating boyfriend in 'Kiss 'n' Tell'. Her sense of humor is at an all time high when she describes her obsession with the boy of her dreams ('Stephen'), or when she does the complete opposite, talk about a creepy old man stalking her ('Dinosaur'). The slow tracks reflect a more personal side, 'Hungover' deals with breaking up while the beautiful 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' describes the feeling of guilt perfectly. I could just keep talking about how I love every single track, but I rather just end it here, and congratulate one of the most fresh and fascinating talents of this new generation for delivering the best record of the year. You all can start hating now.
The singles chart will start later today...

Loud Animal being placed consecutively. Very epic list. Seeing "Hungover" and "Stephen" (Animal)/ "Cali King Bed" (Loud) on the standouts is another point. The reviews are amazing as well.

I agree with you on Animal. When I first heard the album, I didn't love it, but through the year, I grew to love it.
