Japoy's Best Of 2010 | Top 20 Albums (05-03)

05. Ke$ha - Animal & Cannibal
Ke$ha can be considered the female newcomer for the year 2010 as she really hit it big thanks to her songs she had released. I decided to include both her debut and follow-up albums for Animal and Cannibal as both albums have a similar theme, and that is party using so much auti-tune. Ke$ha has a unique sound when it comes to her music and this is because she wrote all the songs from these albums. Her debut single Tik Tok is such a worldwide hit by the beginning of this year and I'm really a fan of this song. Blah Blah Blah which features band 3OH!3 shows Ke$ha in her talking-singing talent and it a great blend. One of my favorites from Animal is the first track Your Love Is My Drug, a simple yet addictive track. She shows her low side with Hungover where she sings the aftermath of having a party. Her debut album is one of my favorite albums of the year as I always listen to it when I'm in a happy mood. Then there comes all of a sudden her follow-up album Cannibal, which has the same formula as Animal. The tracks here are also party theme and Ke$ha includes again auto-tune to give the album an addictive and infectious beat. Blow is one of the stand out track in this album as she sings about a place that is about to blow. The title track Cannibal is another infectious track with a mysterious type of music to me. Other great songs to hear that you will really can't get enough of are the first single We R Who We R which is a great single to promote the album, Sleazy and Crazy Beautiful Life are also great tracks here. Overall, if you just wanna party like Ke$ha, I just listening to her music as I'm sure you will enjoy the moment. Ke$ha definitely made it big this 2010 and I expect her singles especially from Cannibal will also have great reception just like from Animal.

04. Christina Aguilera - Bionic
If you guess that Bionic is my #1 album this year, well you're wrong as Christina Aguilera only ranked 4th for this year. But I really have to admit this is one of my favorite albums to listen to this year especially when it got released. After going back to basics with her last album, Christina Aguilera offers to us that she can also make an album with futuristic sound. The first track Bionic is one proof of that sound where I am so addicted to it whenever I listen to it, should've been released as a single though. The first single Not Myself Tonight shows a raunchier Christina about making out with boys and girls. Woohoo is only one of my favorite songs, the lyrics are so catchy to my ears and Nicki Minaj adding flavor to this song makes it more fun. The power ballad and probably considered to be the heart of Bionic which is You Lost Me is definitely a simple yet heart-whelming song talking about regret of having an affair with others. I Hate Boys is a short fun track talking bout the irony how Christina hates boys but they love her. The album ends with one of my favorite naughty track for Vanity, the song clearly states the feeling of being self-centered in a naughty way. It ends when Christina tells who is the queen and her baby Max responding to it. Definitely another great album for Christina, the disappointing factor is the sales and the output. Nevertheless, it is one of my favorites this year and my most anticipated also. I'm sure you also like this album as much as I do.

03. Justin Bieber - My World 2.0
This comes to your surprise if you see Justin Bieber is as this high in my list. The reason why is because he owns 2010 and you can't deny that. Last year, I ignore his first two singles and now I am really into his songs from the version 2 of his My World album. The lead single Baby is probably the Nobody of this year as everyone is hooked to it especially the intro part. The follow-up singles like Never Let You Go is a good song and it was accompanied by a decent music video while Somebody To Love was remixed and Usher joins the fun making this song another hit for Bieber. His collaboration with Sean Kingston for Eenie Meenie is another ear-candy track, where it refers to a girl that has many options to choice which guys she will love. U Smile is a simple and cute track, though I got tired hearing of it on radio when this one was released as a single. Other tracks that I like from this album are That Should Be Me, which has a sad message where Justin sings about wishing he should be the guy to be loved by the girl he adores, and Stuck In A Moment is which cute to listen to. The Bieber fever really infected us this 2010 and nobody can deny Justin Bieber is everywhere this 2010. I would consider this album my guilty pleasure of the year. Now I wonder what will happen next year for him, will the fever continue or is only for this year?

* The top 2 albums will be up as soon as possible. I haven't decide which will be my #1 album this year as both of them really defined 2010.
