We have yet to hear any confirmation from the label about any of this, and I seriously doubt they are aiming for it to be the biggest digital single of all-time. Yes, but Roger Friedman is a name in Showbiz, tricky but a name. Ok he is well known for his hate for Madonna, and his connection to the management of Mariah Carey. He is the right man to spread rumours when EON won't do it and look it worked. Mission completed.

It doesn't matter. If Adele nor her label has said any of these things, then I will decide to not believe them until officially confirmed. It's practically certain that Adele will sing the Bond theme, but this "biggest digital single of all-time" is a tall tale, and it hasn't come directly from them. I doubt they are setting themselves up for that type of failure.

And no, this isn't a Born This Way situation because Adele herself never said anything about this being "the song of our generation" and her manager never said "this would sell 30 million copies." All of this is coming from insiders, so let's not get it confused.

But that's the new way. Roger was former Forbes man and runs now a little internet page, so EON payed him probably 50.000 $ to make 4 or 5 articles and everybody wins. EON not involved, Adele not involved and we all speak about it. And don't forget all things in connection with Adele is about effectiveness.
