Discussion: How is Celine Dion a legend

she is a legend. she is one of the mos successful musicians and has had impressive voice.
those are facts.
on the other hand, when it comes to artistry, she's very bad and bland. boring music, no creativity, no pushing limits, nothing new, just plain boring and some of her biggest hits are covers.
She's a legend because of the success and voice (which i find very annoying and boring ), but has had no impact on music and "artistry", let alone pop culture. which is just fine, not everyone can and should do that.

PLEASE bring up atleast ONE way she has shaped or changed music as we know it?
Madonna with sexuality and MV's
Mariah with melisma and pop/hip-hop coming together
Whitney with vocals
Janet with dancing
MJ the entire music industry...
What has Celine ACTUALLY done?
|
So you need to be about sex and be a ***** to be a legend? The fact it seems to matter when sales and one of the biggest female songs ever don't... ok.
And yeah, because Celine ain't known for her vocals.

She is so talented. I think we could create something that is a classic like she is already." Josh Groban remarked "She's a powerhouse. In this day and age, when more and more studio-produced, tiny-tiny voices are being rewarded... she has this extraordinary instrument.".[244] "Celine is the best singer by far of her generation" according to Diane Warren,[274] an opinion shared by Quincy Jones,[275] Tommy Mottola and David Foster.[276] Moreover, Shania Twain[277] and Jennifer Lopez have praised Celine Dion's dynamic stage presence with Jennifer Lopez commenting on American Idol: "Celine gets on stage, she owns the stage, she runs all over that stage, she stops that stage."[278]

I'm saying that Celine has had no IMPACT on the way music is today something Madonna and Mariah have both done

What are you even saying? Celine INFLUENCED a whole generation of singers the same way Mariah and Whitney have.
