One of my favorite alternative bands last year. Misery is a very deep song, not precisely breakthrough material but it carries a very strong message. The music video is very original aswell. I hope their next album is just as interesting.
Mariah Carey feat. Meek Mill & Rick Ross "Triumphant (Get 'Em)"
And to think that I actually thought Mariah would be top 3 this year. Triumphant IS the most disappointing song of the entire year. I never thought I'd see the day in which Mariah Carey herself would be the featured artist in her own lead single. Better luck next year Mimi.
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals "Stars"
I wish I had discovered this band earlier. At first I really thought she was another Marina/Florence boring freak but she's very talented. This song is very inspiring, I loved listening to it while taking a night walk around the block.
DEV "Dancing Shoes"
This song is so cute. You wouldn't think Dev is the singer, I think it would be perfect for someone like Ellie Goulding. The music video is so awkward to be honest but I think it was a creative idea and she looks really beautiful.
Labrinth feat. Emeli Sandé "Beneath Your Beautiful"
I just can't keep up with these R&B british artists, some of them are really good while others are utter trash. That's why I was reluctant to listen to this song at first. I was so wrong, it's one of the most beautiful songs I listened to this month.
Lady Antebellum "Wanted You More"
Third of four appearances by Lady Antebellum. It's funny cause they always appear several times in my yearend countdowns but they never reach high. WYM is their best video to date in terms of quality. The song itself is no big deal that's why it didn't last long.
B.o.B. feat. Taylor Swift "Both Of Us"
A fast burner. I really liked it for about 3-4 weeks and then I was completely done with it. It was a rather unexpected collaboration but I really thought Taylor would make it perfect. The song itself wasn't strong enough to begin with.
Daughtry "Crawling Back To You"
Daughtry's long awaited comeback single. It was okay at first but it didn't have longevity. It felt rather uninspired and rushed. It wasn't even the best song in the album to begin with. I think rock bands in general were on a dry spell this year.
Hot Chelle Rae "Honestly"
The best thing about this song was its music video. And that would be it. I honestly can't take this band serious, their music is very generic and everything they could do was probably already done by other bands. I find the music video hilarious though.
Beyoncé "Love On Top"
This is my favorite Beyoncé song since Irreplaceable. It's just so good. She was ranked at #30 last year and I played it enough times this year that it almost made the top 100 again. I loved the music video aswell, even though it's so simple she looks flawless and happy.

The Maine song is such a deep one, I agree about Mariah’s lead single, Grace & the band are amazing ,Like that Dev song better to put my dancing shoes on, theLab/Emeil song is indeed beautiful, the video for Wanted You More is very inspirational , decent Daughtry song, & like that Beyonce song. Good set and descriptions.
