I am so happy how this movie turned out! Great scenes, good combination of witty, funny, thrilling and epic!

Contrary to what the promotion of this movie was hinting where Wolverine was the highlight, I actually think JLaw./Mystique was the star of the film. She slayed every scene she was in especially her fight scenes

Quicksilver was also great and his scenes made the entire theater laugh their a$$ off.

Blink and Kitty were cute in their scenes. More Kitty for the next film please! Daniel Cudmore/Colossus,

Storm’s death scene literally stopped my heart! Yasss... i was anticipating it all the while because it was basically exposed in the trailer but I couldn't bare to see that happening to her

I was nervous every time she would turn her attention to the others like when co-dependent Bishop asked for a bolt and when she looked at Magneto. OMG I was like bitch pay attention to what you're supposed to do in front of you

X-men one liners are hilarious and great For the reason that characters could only get one or few lines

And if Singer wants to re-cast Storm, Cyclops and Jean then I'm fine with that. Jean and Storm are my absolute faves but he would be kind of stupid to miss the opportunity to do so. I was a bit sad at first because I've grown to love Halle and Famke but it's all apart of the business and it's for the best

I also felt like Jennifer did okay. She was kind of lacking in delivering Mystique's wit and human side when necessary but at the same time it wasn't terrible. I still feel like she wasn't the best choice but this film helped her cause for me. Her scenes when she was on the hunt for Trask, which is the majority of her role, were good. The fighting scenes were fantastic, but when it came time for her to share the screens with James and Michael I felt like she was flat emotionally. There wasn't any punch that defined how she felt in those moments. She was too fickle. But all in all she did her best.

JLaw and MFass STOLE everything though, they were so epic. Oh my god. When they were onscreen the movie was perfect.

Comic book or sci fi/fantasy films are usually shunned at the Oscars, aside from maybe the technical awards. The only main category Oscar that a comic book film has won is probably Heath's Best Supporting Actor for his Joker iirc.

Tbh the recasts for the next movie are only due to aging - Storm, Cyclops and Jean would be teens at the oldest in the 80s so they need younger actors to play them then. Apocalypse is immortal, so we could get some future guys back in there bringing Halle, Famke and James back into the picture maybe...

Jean died a couple movies ago though, he couldn't just bring her back just like that, especially not after the fan backlash of how the other directed treated the Phoenix Saga.

If they do recast Jean for the next First Class sequel this will be the perfect opportunity to let Byran Singer do the Phoenix Saga properly, as the amazing comic book director he is. He apparently had awesome plans for Phoenix originally before he left to do Superman Returns.

Phoenix vs Apocalypse would be brilliant.


Also: Apocalypse is Egyptian, Gambit is a thief, Storm grew up as a thief in Egypt. Coincidence they're all (maybe) in the next movie?
