They all influence artists in different ways. There's no "surpassing", only matching. I think Bey is close to matching or has matched them. She's brought different styles to the mainstream, like rap-singing, her presentation (costumes/choreo) and videos.

But it won't be for some years that people will feel comfortable putting her up there because she's really young and there's still room to grow.

What musical impact? Except for that "ooh bringing the rappers in the game with one song" receipt that her fans always bring as something 'so revolutionary', she was as musically relevant as Shania Twain! Pretty-ballads maker, that's it. Now, consider that "Crazy in Love" and "Single Ladies" only are, if not more, as impactul as ANY of the Mariah's biggest records... what's left?

I'm gonna say what is left: Self-titled and Lemonade. Better albums than anything the aforementioned ladies ever did. Deal.

The Beyonce Experience tour is literally bigger than any Mariah tour ever. Beyonce surpassed Mariah in single sales, iconic looks, touring, relevancy, etc. Mariah was nothing but a Katy Perry of the 90s with quick little hits.
