That's what's confusing.
So if Sugar reaches #1 in two weeks but the remix version didn't outsell the other 3/4 versions then it wouldn't count for Nicki; however, if at some point the remix does outsell the other versions then it counts???
Let's say Sugar is #1 for 5 weeks and on it's 5th week the remix overtakes sales then it counts for Nicki
Let's say the remix outsells the original when it's falling down to to 3...does that mean its a #1 hit for Maroon 5 but a #3 hit for Nicki.
Its so strange...should be interesting to see how this plays out.
but I would never thought Sugar needed a remix 
but I like it. The thirst for M5 to get that #1 is real but slay!!!!!!
