I never have seen a minute of any Star Wars movie, but I admired this woman. She was funny, honest, talented, self deprecating .. A rare genuine person in a town full of phonies. RIP.
My Facebook newsfeed is literally composed today of about 98% posts regarding her. From news sources to real-life friends paying tribute, you can just tell she was universally loved and has made an indelible impact in pop culture. RIP.
There was a tribute on TV of all the icons we've lost this year and after it ended the reporter said they've just received the news that Carrie died and I broke down crying, it's been difficult because it gets at me in waves. I was already crying and praying when I found out about her heart attack but I was hopeful until I heard the news.
