As an avid book-fan, I still adored this movie. It had its flaws, but some moments were so close to perfection I forgave them. Alan Rickman is glorious, as is Maggie Smith. Daniel Radcliffe moved me deeply for the first time : the scene where he sees all the dead ? It was written across his face that he couldn't help but feel guilty. His moment in DD's office after he sees Snape's memories was also wonderful. I feel like Daniel Radcliffe really shines in his facial expressions, much more than in the dialogue.
I also loved Luna's little moments on the stairs. "Harry Potter, listen to me !"
The Malfoys are, IMO, much better in the movies. Jason Isaacs makes me like Lucius Malfoy. I have to say, I loved the end where Narcissa just takes Draco by the hand and walks off, leaving the battle behind, not once looking back. She's a smart woman, that one.
Seeing Hermione jump on the dragon made me happy. Hermione is my favorite character in anything, ever, and though I don't love her as much in the movies, that was a great moment.
I also loved the battle where everyone defends Hogwarts. It was really, really great.
And I kinda love the epilogue, in both the books and the movie. I'm just happy Harry got his happy ending, at last. Bonnie Wright looked gorgeous in that scene. I'm just really sad that it's over, and the ending, with the train leaving, made me both sad and happy. The wizarding world goes on... without us.
