Is it a surprise that this album is the one to grace the top of the worst albums of the year list? The album that, despite being called Nine Track Mind, is actually thirteen tracks long. The album that is full of slow to mid tempo snoozers that are so uninteresting and torturous to listen to fully in a single sitting. The album that is riddled with trash lyrics like 'Superman got nothing on me' and 'let's Marvin Gaye and get it on'. The album that features Meghan Trainor.
Its just all so bad, especially that god damn song One Call Away, which is basically Charlie jerking himself off for three and a bit minutes. The only saving grace is that song with Selena sounding half asleep We Don't Talk Anymore, but that got old faster than Perfect Illusion on the charts. I honestly don't blame her. Its really unsurprising that this album has the 5th worst Metascore of all time. All the tracks are just a boy in love who will do anything for a girl, including strolling "into a bank and put a ski mask on and walk out with a million bucks, then I’d burn it in a pile out on your front lawn, just to prove it didn’t mean that much." like ????
This album is trash. I'm glad its forgotten as it is truly a stain on 2016 and I cannot wait for this album and Charlie Puth himself to be left behind as we transition towards a new year.
Fine w/ your bottom 3, especially the unnecessary intermission, but BLUE is nice. None of my faves are in your trinity but I enjoy them. Mine would probably be PILLOWTALK, BRIGHT and rEaR vIeW.
