radio audience can be categorised into different genres, sales cant be! i mean if a person usually listens to pop but buys a country song, its still a sale.
similarly if a person generally listens to pop, but listens a song on country then only its country audience should be included!
country songs are not meant to have pop appeal, so punishing a song coz it cant crossover!! they arenot meant to crossover! and if it does.. then it should be considered pop audience not country aydience!

So if a specific group of people don't like listening to a song as much as larger group of people...it should rank lower?

I know how country music is an integral part of the country audience's lives and culture. Just as R&B/soul/hip hop music is an integral part of the black community. But living in a country as vast, interconnected, and culturally mixed as the United States, songs that are country influenced and appeal to a larger amount of people should chart higher than a song that only appeals to a specific group of people, no matter how integral the music is to their culture.

Besides, casual pop music listeners probably only listen to pop radio, so country radio is probably the chart that you should concern yourself with from now on being the country purist that you are...? (I'm assuming that you are one)

You seriously are having a hard time comprehending things so let me explain it again to you and you can read it slowly.

Country Chart should reflect how the COUNTRY audience is taking it. It shouldn't base its ranking on activity that goes on outside of the country genre. By that logic Katy Perry can get a number one now on country just based off of pop airplay.

As much as the general public listens to the song, I bet they won't care which chart it is, and that's fine by me. We all will know a #1 in that chart will be ridiculous.

sis, they're including all airplay. Consider WANEGBT, it's dead on country radio. Completely dead, on the verge of going recurrent, dropped off basically every rotation on the panel. But because it's smashing on Pop and it's somehow been classified a country song the new methodology dictates it's a #1 country hit, despite failing miserably on country radio.
