Yet none of her albums seem to re-chart often on German charts in the past few years? Why? And that's one example which I hardly doubt will provide for the ''millions'' of supposed ''catalog sales'' she's been capable of achieving when new copies AREN'T even printed out in most countries she's been the most successful in. Her certifications haven't been updated in a while either so beyond me where you come with the entire ''her catalog is selling'' propaganda when it's only available in a few countries and nothing more. I understand that you are salty because a mother of 2 young children being 38 and mostly pregnant for the last 3 years outdoes, outsings, outperforms and outshines your fave but that's not an excuse to throw racist temper tantrums around.

I mentioned Germany as an example because record stores in my country have her back catalog listed the last 15 years. I come to the conclusion that those albums are still selling steadily small numbers because otherwise the stores wouldn't list them. For digital sales a simple kworb search would show you that the albums I mentioned still sell in certain markets (mostly Latin America). They are classics.

No one is being racist. iTunes is completely irrelevant in Latin America btw. Not a very good example. #199 album selling 3 copies in Panama ain't gonna cut it.

I'm sorry but how does the majority of this even relate to the argument/discussion other than adding unnecessary paragraphs?

With that being said iTunes is BARELY existent in terms of sales and so is pretty much any Digital retailer in Latin America. Add into account that most countries she's found success in there only print out LIMITED copies assuming they even bother to it doesn't leave much room for ''strong catalog sales''.

Just because some stores do have it in stock doesn't take away from the fact that its not selling well/at all as far as the markets WE CAN TRACK GO and she's successful in.

Now add the fact the countries she MAY BE ABLE to sell in don't even bother that much unless the demand is high and they are fairly lazy even when it comes to printing out new batches of releases that are CURRENTLY selling it's hard to believe that her ''catalog'' sales are anything significant.

It's simple logic really and yet again all the Shaki supporters jump in claiming high and massive numbers from her catalog sales YET there's not a single proof of it as far as any major market goes and the smaller ones once again don't even bother printing many copies for it to result in BETTER catalog sales than Britney's who is not only successful in the said bigger music markets but also sells in the smaller ones.

Kworb is a good indicator for demand. If an Album does well on itunes there would be a demand for physical copies as well. How many of Britney's classic albums from the 90's/early 2000's are still selling? How do here classic singles do?

The comments about people in Cuba streaming her Videos are sales on Colombia (where she's the biggest artists and has Albums certified Diamond) are racist. Just because your Fave cannot sell well in those markets doesn't mean that Shakira can't.

Your logic makes no sense You do realize that you only need to sell 3-5 copies in order to chart in the Top 20 in most Latin American countries? Especially in this day and age? How does two random people remembering Shakira's old albums from the 90s equal to more copies being shipped to stores?

TSC is #21 on iTunes right now and it also reached #1 in Germany last year. That's a good catalog seller. Shakira's discography however...

Discounts don't always work. A good example would be Lady Gaga's debut album which is barely Top 1500. Reaching #21 with a 6 year old album, discount or not, is still very impressive.

BOMT is also a better catalog seller than any Shakira album btw.
